About Us
Our company name is M & D Animal Housing, the name comes from our other business which is Moggies and Doggies pet shop in Fareham, we have been associated with the pet trade for seven years and opened our first shop in September 1999.
Our pet shop stocked this animal housing for some time, when the previous owners which were known as ‘Top Flight’ decided to call it a day. They were looking for a buyer for their business which they had been running for some 20 years. We quickly put the wheels in motion and purchased the company in July 2002 and have had a very successful first few years. We have moved to larger premises in Botley, Hampshire and after attending various Country Shows and customer recommendations we have significantly increased our customer base. We also have many customers who place repeat orders.
We are very much a family run business, which includes myself, my wife, my son and my daughter at the core, and various other family members helping out when needed.
All our products are manufactured to high standards using top quality materials. The timber we now use has ‘rounded’ edges to help prevent injury and it is all treated with ‘animal-friendly’ preservative. All wire panels are made using ½” x ½” wire as standard (although alternatives are available).
We can produce housing for most animals. While we have many standard products, most of which can be adapted to suit your own requirements, we can also build animal housing to your own design requirements.
